New York Hosts Pizza Show and Culinary Competition

PMQ’s 4th Annual New York Pizza Show Heads to the Javits Center

Oxford, Miss. (February 27, 2007) – Now in its fourth year, the New York Pizza Show, produced by PMQ’s Pizza Magazine (www.pmq.com) and held in conjunction with the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, has once again invited pizza industry manufacturers and pizzeria operators to converge on the Jacob K. Javits Center on March 9-11.
This year’s lineup will include a show floor packed with companies on hand to explain their equipment, food products and services; performances by PMQ’s own U.S. Pizza Team and the creator of the Pizza Dance, Tony Modica; and the always anticipated America’s Plate Competition, an international culinary competition that awards the Best Pizza in the World.
Along with enjoying great pizza entertainment and getting the chance to taste-test some of the best pizzas from around the globe, attendees will walk away from PMQ’s Pizza Show with tons of information and a newfound excitement about their craft.

About the U.S. Pizza Team
The U.S. Pizza Team is a group of pizza makers and dough acrobats whose goal is to bring world attention to the talent and camaraderie of the pizza industry. Find more information on the U.S. Pizza Team and its members at www.uspizzateam.com.
About America’s Plate
The America's Plate is an international culinary pizza competition that is held in New York every March at the New York Pizza Show. The trophy Plate now resides in Spain after its team was awarded the coveted prize for being judged the Best Pizza in the World, following a two-year streak from the Australian team, which had taken the Plate each year prior. Each participating country has a structure of sanctioned competitions from which the best pizza team emerges. All of the teams then face off in New York to battle for the chance to take home the prize. For more information, visit www.americasplate.com.
